OmegaBoost Biotin Ingredients
Omegaboost capsules contain 5,000 mcg of biotin and 222 mg of calcium per serving. This is much more calcium than the bestselling Natrol supplement, but with half as much biotin.
The ingredients are fairly basic compared to an all-round hair growth formula like Hairfluence, but it still carries a higher cost per serving than most biotin supplements.
Even putting cost aside, we wouldn’t recommend OmegaBoost Biotin for vegetarians or vegans, due to the use of gelatin.
Gelatin is a protein made from animal products, and often used in the preparation of foods, cosmetics, and medicines. In fact, it’s also found in the majority of biotin supplements that use capsules as a delivery system. This includes products from Nature Made, Nature’s Bounty, and Vitafusion.
If you’re looking for an alternative that doesn’t include any gelatin or soybean oil, there are 3 that we can recommend; Zenwise Labs Biotin, Natrol Biotin, and Sports Research Biotin. The best value for money tends to come from the multi-pack offers on Amazon for the Natrol 10,000 mcg tablets.
One benefit that the OmegaBoost supplement does have is it carries no allergen warnings. This is something we found on the Sports Research product, due to their use of coconut oil (contains tree nuts).
If OmegaBoost were able to replace the gelatin with a vegetable glycerin and drop the average cost per serving through bulk buy discounts, we think they could have a bestselling product. Unfortunately, for now, there are better options available for vegetarians and vegans.

At the time of writing this review, each serving was priced at $0.17. For a more affordable way to get 5000 mg of Biotin, we recommend the 120 capsule bottle from Zenwise Labs ($0.11 per serving). We always recommend calculating the average cost per serving, across all sizes, before making a final buying decision.
Who are OmegaBoost?
Despite the popularity of their supplements, very little is known about OmegaBoost as a company. At the time of writing this review they have no official website, haven’t put out any press releases, and don’t have a company registration.
Their current product line includes Vitamin D-3, Omega-3 Fish Oil, Biotin, CoQ-10, and a Digestive Cleanser, all of which are available exclusively on Amazon.

OmegaBoost doesn’t carry the same reputation as some of the big brands, as they’re still a new company that sells just 4 products - Omega-3, Biotin, Vitamin D3, and Coq-10. But they’ve quickly established hundreds of highly rated reviews for each of their supplements.
Unfortunately we can’t rate it as highly as Natrol or Sports Research because it’s not suitable for vegetarians (gelatin used in the softgels). You can also only buy 5,000 mcg softgels, with no ‘maximum strength’ 10,000 mcg version.
With the exception of Vitafusion’s biotin gummies, it’s also one of the most expensive biotin supplements on the market. At the time of this review, each serving cost around $0.17, compared to $0.07 for 10,000 mcg of Natrol Biotin.
Overall, we feel OmegaBoost has worked hard to tick most of the boxes we look for in a high quality supplement. The softgels are made in the U.S.A. and are GMP certified, but they don’t carry the same value for money as more established brands.
