Vitafusion Biotin Gummies are available in two variations; 1,000 mcg, and 5,000 mcg. Each of the extra strength gummies provides you with 3 g of carbohydrates (sugars) and 5,000 mcg of Biotin (1,667% of your Daily Value). They’re gluten-free, but do contain a small amount of gelatin and tree nuts (coconut).

But if you want to see the full range of health benefits, how can you be sure that 5,000 mcg is a high enough dose? This is the amount found in almost all biotin supplements, but the bestselling biotin from Natrol uses 10,000 mcg per serving.

In this review we compare the Vitafusion product to two other top-rated biotin supplements; Sports Research Biotin, and Natrol Biotin Fast Dissolve (5,000 mcg). Comparisons include the ingredients, dosages, cost per serving, price, and customer feedback.

We’ve also added recommendations for the best multivitamin to combine with Vitafusion Biotin. This is so you can maintain a healthy balance between your vitamin, mineral, Omega-3, antioxidant, and probiotic intake.

Vitafusion Biotin Gummies Ingredients

Vitafusion Biotin Gummies Ingredients

Vitafusion are somewhat unique in offering a biotin supplement in gummy form. This is compared to the softgel or tablet delivery systems used by companies such as Natrol and Sports Research.

In each 2-gummy serving you’re getting 5,000 mcg of biotin. This is less than the 10,000 mcg offered by Natrol Maximum Strength and Doctor’s Best, but still more than Nature Made or Bulk Supplements.

However, as with most biotin supplements, the part you need to pay attention to is the ‘other ingredients’ section. This is where you find out if they used soybean oil, whether they’re gluten free, and whether they’re suitable for vegetarians.

Suitable for vegetarians?
Unfortunately, as with Nature’s Bounty Biotin, Vitafusion gummies contain gelatin. Although it’s commonly used in cooking and perfectly safe to eat, it’s not considered a vegetarian food source due to the way it’s produced.

If you’re vegetarian and looking to avoid gelatin and soy, Sports Research Biotin 5,000 mcg is an excellent alternative. They use vegetable glycerin in place of gelatin, and organic coconut oil in place of soybean oil. This explains their popularity, with over 5,000 highly rated reviews on Amazon alone.

Apart from the gelatin, Vitafusion Biotin Gummies are a great tasting option for anyone that isn’t vegetarian.

Other ingredients: Tapioca syrup, sucrose, water, gelatin, carnauba wax, citric acid, fractionated coconut oil, lactic acid, pectin, sodium citrate.

What sizes are available?

With a serving size of 2 gummies, each bottle provides you with 50 servings. Following the recommended daily dose of 1 serving, this should be enough to last up to 50 days.

At the time of writing this review, each serving was priced at $0.21. Although this may not sound like much, it actually makes Vitafusion one of the most expensive Biotin products on the market. For comparison, Natrol Biotin 10,000 mcg was available for as little as $0.06 per serving.

That’s why we always recommend calculating the average cost per serving, across all sizes, before making a final buying decision.

Biotin Health Supplement Buying Guide

Review Overview

Overall Review Rating

4.5 / 5

Vitafusion is currently one of the only companies making biotin gummies. Nature Made also have their own version, but this only gives you 3,000 mcg of biotin instead of 5,000 mcg.

The downside with gummy vitamins is they tend to be more expensive than softgels or tablets. They also contain sugar, which isn’t ideal for diabetics, and gelatin - making them unsuitable for vegetarians.

That being said, gummy vitamins certainly have a more enjoyable taste than pills or tablets, and they can be a great option for younger children (Vitafusion’s bestselling Gummy Vites).

Although the Vitafusion Biotin gummies aren’t as expensive as the Nature Made version, you’re still paying at least twice the price you would for the same dose in tablet form (usually around $0.29 per serving).

If you’re looking for a cheaper biotin supplement, we recommend Natrol Biotin. The daily recommended dose is just one tablet, they’re suitable for vegetarians, contain no sugar, and can cost as low as $0.06 per serving.
