The Omron 7 Series Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor is supplied with a cuff that fits wrists from 5 1/4″ to 8 1/2″ in circumference.
Features include irregular heartbeat detection, UltraSilent inflation, a 100-reading memory, and clear systolic and diastolic readings via the LCD screen.

Design Features
The Omron BP652N is an upgraded version of the 3 Series, with 2 important new features.
Everything you would expect from a digital blood pressure monitor is included, and as with the 3 Series, the device uses the oscillometric method of blood pressure measurement.
This means the cuff detects your blood’s movement through the brachial artery and converts this movement into a digital reading. So there’s no need for a stethoscope, resulting in quicker and easier readings.
In addition to measuring your systolic and diastolic blood pressure, the Omron 7 Series also tracks your pulse rate. An irregular heartbeat detection system even alerts you if your pulse jumps too far above or below the average rhythm.
But one of the most important features is the LCD screen. This displays your average heart rate, systolic BP, diastolic BP, heartbeat, date/time, and a blood pressure level indicator. There’s also a ‘movement error’ symbol that appears if you move your body during the measurement.
The cuff can be adjusted to fit a wrist circumference of 5 1/4″ to 8 1/2″, which is the same as the 3 Series monitor.
Blood pressure measurements are accurate to ±3mmHg, which is the same as all Omron blood pressure monitors. Battery life is excellent, and you can expect to get approximately 300 uses out of 2 new alkaline batteries.
Upgraded Features Compared to Omron 3 Series
Ultra-silent inflation allows measurements to be taken quietly anywhere, which means it’s quieter than the 3 Series wrist bpm (BP629).
The 7 Series also features a positioning indicator and positioning symbol on the right side of the screen. This can be turned on and off (on by default), and is used to detect when your wrist is at the best level for an accurate blood pressure reading.
If your wrist is at the correct level, the indicator will be blue. If it detects your wrist to be too high or low, the symbol will be orange in color, and you will have 5 seconds to adjust your wrist position before the cuff starts to inflate.

Accuracy and Ease of Use
10 Tips For Accurate Readings
- Keep your body as still as possible while the monitor is taking a reading
- No exercise, smoking, or caffeine within 30 minutes of measuring your blood pressure

So, is the Omron 7 Series Wrist BPM worth buying?
It's certainly an upgrade over the 3 Series. You're getting 3 more years on the warranty, can store 40 additional readings in memory (100 total), and benefit from Omron's UltraSilent inflation feature.
In terms of value for money, it's less than half the price of the Omron 10 Series, which usually retails for just under $100.
However, the 10 Series does offer an extra user profile, Bluetooth connectivity to transfer your readings to health apps, and allows you to store 200 total readings in memory. (But if the 10 Series is twice the price, you could effectively buy two of the 7 Series and only be missing the Bluetooth transfer!)
If you'll be the only person using it, and simply need a quick and accurate way to measure and store blood pressure readings for a month (3 per day), choose the 7 Series.
At the time of writing this review, Amazon had the 7 Series listed for around $46, while the official Omron website had it listed at $69. If you can buy the 7 Series for under $50, it's an excellent deal.
