Each serving of Nature’s Way Alive Max Daily provides your body with a daily dose of high potency daily essentials, greens, phytonutrients and antioxidants, as part of a food-based blend. This is designed to help support bones, cells, heart, digestion, eyes, hair/skin/nails, immunity, and metabolism.

But with 3,333% of your Vitamin B12 RDA and 2,500% of your Vitamin B6 RDA in each 3-tablet serving, how do you know if this is a safe dose? What if you’re already taking a large dose of multivitamins because of your choice in protein powder?

In this review we compare Alive Max Daily to two of the best adult multivitamins; Centrum Adults, and Vitafusion MultiVites. This includes ingredients, dosages, cost per serving, price, and customer feedback from the thousands of reviews on Amazon.

We’ve also added recommendations for the best protein powder to combine with Alive Max Daily. This is so you can maintain a healthy balance between your vitamin, mineral, Omega-3, probiotic, and protein intake.

Nature’s Way Alive Max Ingredients

Nature's Way Alive Max Ingredients

As the name suggests, this is a maximum potency formula. Levels of vitamins and minerals contained in a single serving are some of the highest we’ve seen for an adult multivitamin.

With 325 mcg of biotin per serving, the only multivitamin we’ve seen have more is the Vitafusion Women’s gummies. But you’re also getting 15,000 IU of vitamin A, which is above average for a multivitamin (most have 2,500 – 5,000 IU). This is something worth considering if you’re pregnant, as 10,000 IU per day is generally the maximum dose safely tested in studies.

Vitamin C levels are also much higher than average, with 1,000 mg per serving. This is compared to an average of closer to 100 mg, and means you’re getting 1,667% of your recommended Daily Value (DV).

Because vitamin C has such low toxicity, such levels are generally considered acceptable in a supplement, even when taken for extended periods of time. The Food and Nutrition Board has established a recommended upper limit of 2,000 mg per day for adults over 19 years of age.

High levels of vitamin C have numerous health benefits, with some evidence to suggest it helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, help treat/prevent the onset of the common cold, and even lower the risk of most types of cancer.

Vitamin D and E levels in the Alive! Max Daily multivitamin are also some of the highest we’ve seen. With 1,000 IU of each, this is well above the average of < 100 IU for vitamin E, and around 600 IU for vitamin D.

Multivitamin Supplement Buying Guide

Alive! Max Daily Review Summary

9

So, is Nature's Way Alive! Max Daily the best multivitamin for you?

In terms of value for money, we certainly recommend buying the larger bottles. At the time of writing this review, the 90-count bottle was priced at $0.57 per serving, while the 180-count bottle (60-day supply) was closer to $0.38.

As for the levels of vitamins and minerals, this is a high-potency formula. We've seen very few supplements with such high levels of B vitamins (B6 and B12), and the level of vitamin A is at the upper limit for an adult's recommended daily intake.

The level of biotin is a little lower than supplements like the Vitafusion Women's Gummies (325 mg vs. 400 mg), and folic acid levels are very much average for a multivitamin (400 mg).

But Alive! Max Daily still provides far higher levels of most key vitamins and minerals than other top multivitamin supplements.

Overall, excellent value for money if you can find a bottle for close to $0.38 per serving. At this price, it outperforms the bestselling Dr. Tobias multivitamin, at less than half the price (Dr. Tobias priced at $0.76 per serving at time of writing).
