One A Day Men’s is designed as a complete multivitamin/multimineral supplement, formulated to support your immune system, heart health, and healthy blood pressure. This includes more than 20 key nutrients, many of which provide you with 100% of your RDA.
But whereas some multivitamin/multimineral supplements offer dosages at 3000%+ of your RDA, One-A-Day keeps their maximum levels much closer to 100%. So what constitutes a safe dose? What if you’re already taking a protein powder with its own multivitamin complex?
In this review we compare One A Day Men’s to two other top-rated multivitamins; Optimum Nutrition Opti-Men, and Centrum Silver Men. This includes ingredients, dosages, cost per serving, price, and customer feedback from the thousands of reviews on Amazon.
We’ve also added recommendations for the best protein powder to combine with One-A-Day Men’s to balance your vitamin, mineral, Omega-3, probiotic, and protein intake.
One-A-Day Multivitamin Ingredients
One-A-Day Men’s Multivitamin has none of the proprietary blends of ingredients you’ll find in supplements like Optimum Nutrition Opti-Men and Muscletech Platinum Advanced, but this means it’s available at a fraction of the price.
At the time of writing this review, each serving cost just $0.11, compared to $0.44 per serving of Opti-Men and Platinum Advanced.
Unfortunately, this does tend to be reflected in the levels of vitamins and minerals. For example, 3,500 IU of vitamin A is well below the 10,000 IU found in Opti-Men, and you’re getting less than half the dose of vitamin D (700 IU vs. 1500 IU).
On balance, if you don’t mind the lower levels of vitamins and minerals, and want a cheap multivitamin, Nature Made Multi Complete could be a better option.
At time of writing each serving cost around 30% less than One-A-Day Men’s, and you actually get more for your money in most cases. The only real exceptions are 1000 IU less vitamin A, 50 mg less calcium, and 12 mcg less vitamin B12.
But Multi Complete offsets this by giving you more vitamin K (80 mcg vs. 20 mcg), vitamin D (1000 IU vs. 700 IU), vitamin C (180 mg vs. 60 mg), and much more.

Save money with Amazon
If you’re looking to save money on your monthly supplement order, you might want to consider the Amazon Subscribe & Save program.
Subscribe & Save allows you to unlock savings of up to 15% on a wide range of sports nutrition products, including One-A-Day Men’s Health Formula.
You can save 5% with a subscription to 1 product, or save the full 15% by subscribing to 5 products, provided they’re all delivered to the same address. The delivery schedule can be set from monthly, up to once every 6 months.
Although 5 products might sound a lot, if you already supplement with a protein powder, multivitamin, creatine, BCAA, and glutamine, the savings can soon add up. Who are One-A-Day?
One A Day first launched their product line in 1943, with a multivitamin containing 8 essential vitamins and minerals.
Since then, they’ve developed gender-specific and age-specific formulas, which are carefully balanced to support your natural energy levels, immune function, and overall health.
Today, although their most popular Men’s and Women’s multivitamins are in tablet form, you can also buy a prenatal multivitamin softgel (Prenatal 1), and VitaCraves Men’s Multi vitamin gummies.
Multivitamins specially formulated for growing kids are also available, with such names as One A Day Kids Hello Kitty, and One A Day Kids with Nature’s Medley (formulated for children ages 4+).
One A Day Men’s Multivitamin Review Summary
So, is One A Day really the best men's multivitamin?
It's certainly tough to beat on value. As we're writing this review, the price was just under $14 for a 200-count bottle, which lasts over 6 months. That's roughly $0.07 per serving, and considerably cheaper than the $0.44 per serving for Optimum Nutrition's Opti-Men supplement.
As for the vitamin and mineral levels, there's no question One A Day is better than the Vitafusion Men's gummy multivitamin.
Unfortunately, One A Day Men's has lower levels of vitamins and minerals than most multivitamins for men. This includes GNC Mega Men Sport, Rainbow Light Men's One, and Optimum Nutrition Opti-Men.
On balance, we feel that Opti-Men is the best in terms of delivering high levels of vitamins and minerals for a reasonable price (around $0.44 per serving, based on paying $22 for the 150-count bottle).
But if you're simply looking for a small top-up of vitamins and minerals and don't need to pay for higher levels or proprietary formulas, One A Day is still an excellent choice.
