Vitafusion Women’s Gummy

Vitafusion Women’s gummy multivitamins provide your body with a daily dose of 9 essential nutrients, designed to boost energy, metabolism, and bone support. This includes Biotin (133% RDA), Pantothenic Acid (100% RDA), and Calcium (10% RDA), without any of the Zinc, Lycopene, and Molybdenum that you’ll find in the men’s version.

But whereas some multivitamin/multimineral supplements offer dosages at 3,000%+ of your RDA, Vitafusion keeps their maximum levels much closer to 100%.

So what constitutes a safe dose, and how much does your body actually need? What if you’re already taking a protein powder with its own multivitamin complex?

In this review we compare Vitafusion Women’s to two of the best multivitamins for women; Optimum Nutrition Opti-Women, and Centrum Silver (Women). This includes ingredients, dosages, cost per serving, price, and customer feedback from the thousands of reviews on Amazon.

We’ve also added recommendations for the best protein powder to combine with the Vitafusion Women’s. This is to help maintain a healthy balance between your vitamin, mineral, Omega-3, probiotic, and protein intake.

Vitafusion Women’s Ingredients

Vitafusion Women's Gummy Multivitamin Ingredients

Compared to the Men’s version, Vitafusion Women’s Multivitamin has much better support for strong bones and teeth, as each serving contains 100 mg of calcium. Although this is still only around 10% of your Daily Value (DV), it’s better than the 0 mg you get with Vitafusion Men’s.

The level of biotin has also been increased from 30 mcg to 400 mcg, which is 133% of your DV. This helps support healthy hair, skin, and nails.

Each serving contains twice as much vitamin D as the Men’s version (800 IU vs. 400 IU) and none of the zinc. Most other vitamins and minerals are present in the same levels, such as vitamin B12 (18 mcg), vitamin A (2,500 IU), and vitamin C (30 mg).

Another important ingredient worth mentioning is gelatin. This makes the gummies unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans, with tablets or certain types of softgel being your only option.

Unfortunately, gummy multivitamins do tend to be more expensive than tablets or softgels, which is the case with Vitafusion.

The berry flavor and chewable texture is what you’re paying the extra money for, which is a major benefit for anyone that has trouble swallowing tablets.

At the time of writing this review, each serving cost just under $0.20. That’s compared to the Centrum Adults Multivitamin, which was priced at around $.15 per serving, for twice as much calcium (200 mg), 1000 IU more vitamin A, 200 IU more vitamin D, twice as much vitamin C (60 mg), and a whole lot more.

Health Benefits of Vitafusion Women’s

Our recently updated multivitamin guide contains a complete list of health benefits associated with the vitamins found in Vitafusion Women’s gummies.

When is the Best Time to Take It?

As a dietary supplement, take two (2) gummy vitamins per day.

Whether or not a multivitamin should be taken with food is typically down to the specific vitamins and minerals it contains.

As a general guide, iron is absorbed best by the body on an empty stomach, but can cause mild side effects, such as nausea. These symptoms can be alleviated if it’s taken with a small amount of food.

Vitafusion Women’s doesn’t contain iron, so you should still experience good absorption if it’s taken with food.

What Sizes Are Available?

With a serving size of 2 gummy vitamins, each bottle provides you with either 35 or 75 servings.

At the time of writing this review, the best value for money comes from the bottle of 150 gummies. Each serving was priced at $0.13, compared to $0.20 per serving with the smaller 70 count bottle. That’s why we always recommend calculating the average cost per serving, across all sizes, before making a final buying decision.

Vitafusion Women’s Review Summary

9

So, does Vitafusion have the best women's multivitamin on the market?

One of the main health benefits on the label is 'bone support'. This is likely due to the 100 mg of calcium per serving, but well below the 150 mg you would get with Opti-Women, or the 300 mg you get with Centrum Silver Women. It's also only equal to the 100 mg you get with Rainbow Light Women's One.

Energy metabolism is another health benefit mentioned, from vitamins B6 and B12. But again, the levels are well below Centrum Silver Women and the high-potency formula of Optimum Nutrition Opti-Women.

In terms of value for money, gummy multivitamins are always more expensive than tablets or softgels. The benefit is that they taste better, and the chewable texture makes them easier to swallow for some people, compared to tablets.

Overall, Vitafusion Women's is exceptional for its level of biotin (400 mcg, 133% DV), which some evidence suggests can improve the health of hair and nails. But if you're looking for a good all-round women's multivitamin with high levels of each vitamin and mineral, at an affordable price, it's not the best option.

Our recommendations instead would be Optimum Nutrition Opti-Women if you need a good women's multivitamin with iron, or Centrum Silver Women if you need more calcium for bone strength.

Dr. Tobias Vitality and Nature's Way Alive Max Daily are also excellent formulas, but the high level of vitamin A (15,000 IU) may make them unsuitable for some women (pregnant women, possibility of birth defects).
