Omegaboost Omega-3 Fish Oil provides you with 1250 mg of Fish Oil, containing 430 mg of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid), 325 mg DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid), and 65 mg of other omega-3 fatty acids.
But how do you know if this dosage will be enough to provide you with noticeable health benefits?
In this review we’ll compare Omegaboost Omega-3 to two other top-rated fish oil supplements; Dr. Tobias Optimum Omega-3 Fish Oil, and BodyVega Omega-3. This includes the ingredients, price, cost per serving, dosages, and customer feedback, to make sure you only buy the best omega-3 for your current health goals and diet.
We’ve also added recommendations for high quality Vitamin-D supplements, which studies have shown boosts the health benefits of Omega-3.
Omegaboost Omega-3 Fish Oil Ingredients
The American Heart Association’s Nutrition Committee recommends supplementation with 250 to 500 mg of EPA and DHA per day. This is mainly to assist in the prevention of coronary artery disease (CAD), but also to boost the overall health of your cardiovascular system.
Omegaboost Omega-3 exceeds this recommendation with 755 mg of the EPA and DHA long-chain fatty acids. But how does the price compare to other bestselling omega-3 supplements?
Unfortunately the cost per serving is towards the top end of the market. At the time of writing this review, each softgel cost $0.21, which is much more than NOW Foods Ultra Omega-3, which provides 750 mg of EPA and DHA at a cost of $0.12 per serving.
However, the balance of ingredients is slightly different, with the NOW Foods supplement containing 70 mg more EPA and 75 mg less DHA.
What results can I expect, and how quickly?
Clinical evidence suggests that the EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids help reduce risk factors for heart disease, including high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
During our own research, we found most clinical studies experience significant results in as little as 8 weeks of omega-3 supplementation.
One example is a study published in the Journal of Research in Pharmacy Practice. This found that mean systolic blood pressure decreased in a group supplementing with omega-3, compared to an increase in the placebo group. The dose was 3 g per day of omega-3 for 8 weeks.
Allergen warning: Contains fish ingredients (anchovy, mackerel, sardine).

Omegaboost vs. Dr. Tobias Omega-3
Omegaboost vs. BodyVega Omega-3
What sizes are available?
With a serving size of 1 softgel, each bottle provides you with 120 servings. Following the recommended daily dose of 1 softgel means this should last up to 120 days / 4 months.
At the time of writing this review, each serving was priced at $0.21. We believe this is a fair price, given the lower levels of EPA and DHA in comparison to other fish oil supplements, such as Nordic Naturals Omega-3 and Brain Power Plus.
Who are Omegaboost?
Despite the popularity of their supplements, very little is known about Omegaboost as a company. At the time of writing this review they have no official website, haven’t put out any press releases, and don’t have a company registration.
Their current product line includes Vitamin D-3, Omega-3 Fish Oil, Biotin, CoQ-10, and a Digestive Cleanser, all of which are available exclusively on Amazon.
Review Overview
Overall Review Rating
4 / 5
The World Health Organization (WHO) has set a recommended daily intake of 2 g per day. Some experts have suggested a higher dose of 3 g/day, which is still considered safe by the FDA, but rejected by WHO after considering the sustainability of the fish supply.
The National Academy of Medicine has slightly lower recommendations of 1.6 g for men, and 1.1g for women (1.4 g if pregnant). Our omega-3 buying guide has more information on daily intake levels for different health conditions.
Is it worth buying?Omegaboost Omega-3 is the next level up from your NOW Foods (750 mg), Nature Made (720 mg), and Nature’s Bounty (360 mg) fish oil supplements, with 820 mg of omega-3 fatty acids per serving.
If oily fish or flaxseed oil are a regular part of your diet, then this should be enough to meet your adequate intake level. However, over 80% of American adults aren’t consuming enough to meet the minimum dietary guidelines, which means you’ll probably want more from your supplement.
In terms of value for money, it’s not a bad choice either, but faces stiff competition from BodyVega Omega 3 Fish Oil. BodyVega’s supplement has 1,500 mg of omega-3 fatty acids per serving, for the same price as Omegaboost.
In summary, if we had to choose between the two, we would have to choose BodyVega Omega-3. The quantity of EPA and DHA is much higher than Omegaboost Omega-3, with a dose that guarantees you meet the recommendation set by the World Health Organization and National Academy of Medicine.
