The XMark XM-7619 is a commercial quality squat rack, with a 400 lb weight capacity.

If you also want support for bench presses and seated military presses, there’s also enough space to position your weights bench between the uprights.

In our review, we’ll take a closer look at how the heavy-duty 11-gauge steel frame can benefit your workouts. This includes comparisons with designs in the same price range, to help you decide if the XM-7619 is the best squat rack for your own home gym.

Design features

Whether your focus is more towards bodybuilding, powerlifting, or general fitness, if you want to get stronger beyond a certain point then you will need to look at buying a squat rack, power cage, or smith machine.

XMark XM-7619 Commercial Squat Rack

With squat racks traditionally being larger pieces of exercise equipment, size becomes an important deciding factor, together with strength and cost.

While the XMark XM-7619 squat rack still requires a relatively large floor space due to being designed for 7ft Olympic sized barbells, in terms of value for money it’s actually surprisingly hard to beat.

This is even true looking at racks that are very similar in design, such as the Valor Athletics BD-6 and BD-4.

Although these are similar in the amount of space they take up and both being available for between $300 and $400, they both use very different racking styles and safety points.

The BD-6 offers safety supports that can be adjusted through 8 inches of height settings, which is useful but may be slightly limiting on some exercises.

Meanwhile the XMark XM-7619 uses two much larger safety bars attached to the main verticals of the frame, which can be adjusted through a much wider range of heights.

This does mean that you have to stay closer to the rack than with the BD-6, but with plenty of space between the supports this shouldn’t be a problem.

The gun rack style racking positions for the bar are also positioned much closer together, with more racking points to choose from (9 on the XMark rack compared to 5 on the Valor Athletics BD-6).

If you are looking for a place to keep your weight plates tidied away and within easy reach, 4 Olympic weight plate storage pegs have also been added to the back of the frame.

Customer reviews

The XMark XM-7619 rack is also ideal for bench presses, when combined with an adjustable and free-standing weights bench

It’s rare that we come across any piece of weightlifting or fitness equipment where we can’t find any negative reviews, but that seems to be the case with the XMark XM-7619.

While looking through popular shopping sites such as Amazon, we were only able to find customer reviews that gave this rack the full 5 star rating.

Although we would always recommend reading through as many reviews as possible to build up a better picture of any possible flaws, we’ve also summarised the most frequently mentioned positive points from these reviews in the list below.

Review Overview

Overall Review Rating

5 / 5

The XMark XM-7619 Commercial Squat Rack has a number of encouraging signs that back up its quality and value. This includes the high percentage of ratings that were 5 stars, as well as XMark providing you with a lifetime in-home warranty if anything does go wrong.

Their top of the line squat rack is constructed of commercial 11-gauge 2” x 3” steel, allowing you to load more weight on the frame than similarly priced designs.

With safety being such an important part of working out at home without a spotter, it's also reassuring to know that there are 9 racking positions to set the bar at. This helps to reduce the strain from lifting heavy weights off the ground, or from a position that is either too high or low for your height.

The extra-wide, curved base to prevent tipping or swaying is the final touch that makes this such a high quality rack at a price that's competitive.
